Fees and Insurance

My fees are consistent with customary hourly rates for consultation and psychotherapy.  Together, in the initial consultation we will establish arrangements regarding fee and payment.  Typically, fee is paid at the start of each session, but exceptions can be made.

Insurance
I am currently not accepting insurance, but it is worth talking to your insurance company, as some insurance plans offer to pay for all or part of the cost for an out of network provider.  I can prepare an invoice for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

There are some benefits to not involving your insurance company.  Should they provide out-of-network reimbursement, they will require a diagnosis, and based on their assessment of your or your child’s need, the continuity of treatment can sometimes be affected.  Lastly, involving insurance is simply less confidential; personal health information is stored in the company’s servers, and less secure.  Confidentiality will be discussed in our first contacts, as will your preferences about privacy.
